The creation and development of Klaipeda as a recreational fishing tourism destination was started within the scope of the RETROUT project with the participation of the target group (fishing guides and other fishing service providers, local authorities, associations, representatives of tourism business and information centers, etc.) in workshops provided by business consulting experts. Ekonominės konsultacijos ir tyrimai (EKT) experts conducted a 6-session cycle for the target group, presenting the process of developing the tourist area, analyzing the potential of the local area, creating the concept of the local destination management organization (DMO) and developing objectives for joint fishing activity and work.
