The whole course was planned for tourism professionals of the region (SME’s) who are already offering services to recreational fishing tourists or are planning to expand their range of services, as well as for representatives of institutions related to the organization and control of recreational fishing, representatives of professional associations. The overall aim was to develop Kurzeme as an international recreational fishing tourism destination strengthening competitiveness of the local enterprises supporting creation of sustainable tourism services. The main focus was on the pilot area of Western Kurzeme region – Baltic sea coastline between Liepāja-Pāvilosta-Ventspils. The course was organised as the series of seminars, including six seminars with some additional meetings at the end of it. Overall thematic included development of sequential holistic thinking from market potential and resources towards the governance of the destination.
